Fenugreek (Trigonella foenum-graecum) is native to the eastern Mediterranean. The strong, aromatic flavour and taste of Fenugreek is akin to celery or lovage, and due to its potency should be used sparingly. An ingredient in Indian and South Asian curries, Ethiopian berbere, and Egyptian breads, Fenugreek is also used in pickling, vegetable dishes, and other spice blends.
