Dark red, with a 25,000-40,000 Scoville Unit rating, Calabrian Peppers or “pepperoncino” are the perfect everyday peppers.
Use them to flavour any savoury dish including pizza, pasta, shrimp, tuna, mahi mahi, salsas, and soups.
Soak in hot water for 10 minutes to rehydrate Calabrian peppers or add them to any recipe that cooks for this amount of time. They can then be chopped and added to salads, marinades, and vegetables.
