Zahtar Seasoning

Zahtar Seasoning is an aromatic spice mixture used in the Middle East and North Africa. With white sesame seeds, ground sumac, thyme, and salt, this blend has a tangy and herbal taste. Traditionally combined with olive oil and used on pita breads, or added to yogurt to create a dip.  Zahtar Seasoning can also be used to create marinades, salad dressings, sprinkled on meats and vegetables, or added to bread before baking.
